A vintage Sterling Silver Bowl with handle by the Watrous Manufacturing division of the International Silver Company.

We are pleased to present this vintage Sterling Silver Bowl for your consideration. It was made by the Watrous Manufacturing division of the International Silver Company. The Bowl features decorative ribs along the lower portion of its side, and a repoussé motif around the edge of the rim. A thin, graceful handle is hinged at the rim.

The Bowl is 1-1/2 inches high (measured to the rim), and 6-1/2 inches in diameter (measured at the rim). It weighs 107 grams (3.4 troy ounces). The underside is marked INTERNATIONAL STERLING and pattern number 565, along with the Watrous Mfg maker mark (see last picture).

Recently polished, the Bowl has only scattered small areas of tarnish remaining. The rim is slightly bent downwards at a couple of points on opposite sides, and there are a few small bumps visible on the bottom. Surface wear is age appropriate, with some shallow scratches noted. Overall, the piece is in good usable shape and we rate the condition as good to very good.
