For best results put the loader on your rod first and flex the loader down the rod until tight, then put your spool of line into the holder the arms will put tension on the line spool. make sure the line is in line with the rod rings. fix your reel to the rod and wind the line on until full. For best results keep the line coming from underneath the spool rather than from the top.
