2006 - 50 Years of Australian Television TV $1 Coin - Mobile Press 'S' Mintmark

Item Description

The 2006 Television $1 ?S? Mintmark was struck on a mobile press on 7 - 20 April, 2006 at the Sydney Royal Easter. The coin has a shallow and weak mintmark strike compared to the normal issue due to the reduce pressure of the mobile presses as shown in the right coin image. It is presented in traditional mintmark packaging of a card display wallet and has a small letter ?S? stamped into the face of the reverse. Great addition to your Australian coin collection.

The theme for the popular mintmark series in 2006 is 50 Years of Australian Television. Television sets cost three times the average monthly wage 50 years ago, but you can be a part of Australian Television history. Mintage 10,679.
