The Cloverleaf UV bulbs are unique in that the starter is built into the UV lamp base and have been designed especially to fit the Cloverleaf Smart start range of UV clarifier units only. The Smart Start stainless steels UV units themselves have been proven to be up to 35% more efficient than standard plastic bodies UV's.
We recommend that the UV lamp is replaced at least once per year, generally around March to April time when the pond season is just beginning.
