Unlike other listing on eBay we include media with the filter, you can add the extra media pack if you wish to bulk up the filter.

If you are buying the media pack on its own, please advise us which model filter you need it for. The filter pads do vary in size.

This range of external aquarium filter from Jebao are a multi stage mechanical & biological filtration system for your fish tank. Each filter has either 2 or 3 baskets depending on the model selected, each basket can contain your chosen media

External filter systems work in the same way as conventional internal aquarium filters, however they are positioned outside of your fish tank. This helps free up valuable space in your aquarium whilst allowing the filter to be larger and far more efficient.

How The External Filter Works

All pipe work is supplied with each filter including the inlet & outlet pipes, inlet strainer cage, spray return pipe and suction cup fixings.

Once the pipework is connected (instructions supplied) water is draw into through the inlet strainer cage and in to the external filter, the water travels through the media you have chosen for the filter and is returned back to the aquarium via the outlet pipe. A spray bar tube is included for the return to help add additional oxygen to your aquarium.

Maintenance of these filter is simple, each filter has shut of valves for the inlet & outlet allowing you to take the filter away for cleaning. The removable media baskets are easy to lift out, each with their own handle allowing cleaning of each media individually as required.
