This is a previously-owned, vintage ‘Happy Birthday Husband” card manufactured by Hi-Brows / American Greetings sometime in the late 1960s or 1970s (as part of their counterculture collection). Though it shows a very finite degree of edgewear due to its age, it is unused, with no pencil or pen marks anywhere. It exclaims, “You’re Lucky You Have A Wife Who Goes Out of Her Way to Buy You A Nice Birthday Card Like This… And Don’t You Forget it!” but it does not include an envelope.

In 1957, thanks to the rising counterculture, American Greetings introduced a new division -- Hi Brows. Influenced by the funny cards being made by Bohemian artists in Greenwich Village studios, these irreverent, witty cards were slim and tall.
