The blue book is not a complete directory of Chicago. From the official title the book contains "Selected Names of Chicago & suburban towns containing the names & addresses of prominent residents." Your definition of prominent may vary from the publishers. Any way there is a lot of interesting information in the books. If you are interested in the early businesses of Chicago or working on the family genealogy the information found in these books may provide a clue.

This CD is searchable and has a series of bookmarks making navigation through the file easier. The CD is packaged in a protective sleeve.
