Cocobolo wood is derived from the tree Dalbergia retusa in Central America.
This tropical hardwood is dark red in color and has an oily look and feel.
It also gives off a distinct floral aroma, is very hard, finely textured, and dense.

Cocobolo
wood is mostly used in gun
grips, knife handles, and
Chess
due to its
ability to
withstand
repeated handling and exposure to water.
