The pendant has the mantra Om Mani Padme Hum inscribed around the outside of the wheel surrounded on top and bottom by auspicious symbols. 

Tibetan Prayer wheels contain a rolled up scroll printed with prayers.  The act of spinning the wheel brings merit and blessings.  These blessings radiate into the environment.  The perpetual turning of prayer wheels is believed to fill the world and the heavens with sacred invocations and blessings for the benefit of all.

This item comes from Tibetan refugees in Dharamsala, India, home to His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan Government-in-Exile.
