This Mouse Pad has a Matt finish, we used to offer a gloss finish in the days of ball mice.

However with the advent of optical mice, which most people now use, it rendered gloss finish mats useless as the light beam bounced back off the surface of the pad which made for eratict mouse movements.

So as nice as the high gloss mouse pads used to look, there's little point if they don't do the job, so please appreciate these are a Matt finish.
