Soft Shell Jackets have been used by walkers and climbers over the past few years to great effect, the jackets are pleasant to wear, more breathable than a waterproof, and more water- and wind resistant than a fleece. Its shorter cut not only makes it an ideal replacement for the old style fleece and hard shell (New name for waterproof Jacket) for climbing and scrambling this style jacket is ideal for military use in all but extreme down pours.
Recently this type of jacket has been used in some of the worlds most hostile areas, by elite operators in many different forces.
Previously a good soft shell would cost you in the region of £150, do not be deceived by the price of this it is top of the range with all the features needed for military personnel.
The durable, waterproof, lightweight, breathable fabric contain billions of microscopic pores smaller than a raindrop, but hundred times larger than a molecule of water vapor. The triple layer combination wicks moisture, stop water from passing through,and circulate body heat.
