Beautiful, rare vintage antique 1893 handcolored map, the map is titled, in fancy antique lettering, Southport, Town of Fairfield, and Borough of Bethel, Fairfield County. Many fascianting areas, much has changed, the map has the named roads, named railroads, named schools, named churches, named ponds and so forth. The map is very detailed with many fascianting areas, much has changed. The gorgeous handcoloring is period to the map, so few of these were made that was more inexpensive for them to be handcolored, rather than printed color, the water areas are also nicely handcolored blue. This is an antique 1893 map and not a reprint or reproduction. This is from the rare 1893 Hurd Atlas of the State of Connecticut. The map is nice condition and would frame and display nicely.
