MAGNESIUM FIRE STARTER

The tool incorporates a block of magnesium with a full length sparking flint inserted in one of the long edges and a handy key chain attachment.

The soft magnesium is scraped from the block into a small pile of shavings using the serrated blade supplied.

Mix the shavings with dry tinder, twigs or paper for best results.

The pile of shavings is then ignited by scraping the flint with either the blade supplied or any suitable bladed instrument. The shavings will then burn rapidly.

Ignites to a temperature of around 5,400º f, hot enough to light even the most stubborn of fires.
