WW2 Russian M36 Helmet

Description

Reproduction green painted Russian M36 steel helmets.

Introduced in 1936 the M-36 replaced the French Adrian helmet that was previously used by the Imperial Russian and Red army. Based loosely on the German M-35 helmet, the Soviet M36 had a large front rim and wide flares over the ears, and the addition of a small comb on the top which covered a ventilation hole.

These are the later model of M36 with a cloth lining and chinstrap rather than the initially introduced leather liners. These helmets were also distributed to the Republican soldiers of the Spanish Civil War.

An excellent reproduction of the iconic 'Kaska' M36.
