 y0045 GPM Kurbelgehäuse-/Lüfterrad-Schutz für 1:5/1:6
Um für entsprechend benötigte Kühlung bei den aktuellen1:5er/1:6er Motoren zu sorgen, sind die Lüfterräder beidseitig mit entsprechenden Kühllamellen besetzt. Aus diesem Grund befindet sich am Kurbelgehäuse eine Öffnung, die für die Luftzufuhr benötigt wird. Jedoch ist die Gefahr von eintretenden Fremdkörpern (Gras, Sand, oder sogar Steine!) sehr groß!
Das Problem sind leider häufig gebrochene Lamellen am Lüfterrad. Eine nur noch mangelhafte Kühlung ist die Folge. Noch problematischer ist die auftretende Unwucht durch den Lamellenbruch am Lüfterrad.
Aus diesem Grund ist, speziell beim Einsatz des Modells im Gelände, ein derartiger Kurbelgehäuse-/Lüfterrad-Schutz zu empfehlen.

Achtung:
Es ist unbedingt erforderlich das Kurbelwellengehäuse vor der Verklebung des Klettbandes gründlich zu reinigen (Bestellnummer OKS2661) und zu entfetten!
Bei der Montage auf Chung-Yang-, wie auch Zenoah-Motoren in FG Modellen, muss der Kurbelgehäuseschutz an der Verschraubung des Motorbocks an zwei Stellen jeweils eine Kleinigkeit angepasst werden (siehe Bild 6 + 7). Außerdem ist im Bereich des Zwischenwellenritzels (vor dem Differentialzahnrad!) eine möglichst enge Passung des Gewebes zu beachten (siehe Bild 8).

- Spezieller Gewebezuschnitt mit vernähtem Klettband
- Klettband zur Montage am Kurbelgehäuse
- Kleber zum nachsichern des Klettband

 y0045 GPM Crankcase cover for 1/5 & 1/6
To ensure the required cooling for current 1/5 and 1/6 engines the flywheels have fins on both sides. Therefore the fan housing has large openings on the crankcase side for the required air supply. However, the risk of foreign objects (grass, sand, or even stones!) entering here Is very high!
As a result, broken fins on the flywheel occur frequently. This leads to reduced cooling efficiency and - even more critical – vibrations from a flywheel which is out of balance due to missing fins.
Therefore, this kind of flywheel protection is highly recommended, especially for offroad use.

Note:
It is essential to thoroughly clean and degrease the crankcase prior to attaching the hook-and-loop tape (order-number OKS2661)!
For installation on Chung-Yang and Zenoah engines in FG cars, the crankcase cover must be slightly modified in two places where the engine mount is attached (see Figure 6 and 7). Furthermore the fit of the fabric must be as tight as possible in the region of the layshaft pinion (in front of the differential ring gear!) (see Figure 8).
