The superb Oxford Diecast 1/72 scale diecast & plastic WWI Royal Flying Corps  Bristol F2B Biplane, D8096.

Oxford says:This 1:72 scale model is the first WWI aircraft to enter the Oxford Aviation series and is particularly pertinent as we commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the conflict that was to change history in so many ways. You can see one preserved example displayed as part of the Shuttleworth Collection at Old Warden in Bedfordshire.

In real life, the Bristol F2B was a British 2-seater biplane fighter and reconnaissance aircraft of the First World War, flown by the Royal Flying Corps.

Our authentic little replica is painted with brown upper wings and buff underwings. The propellers have been given a brown wood effect finish whilst propeller hubs, engine covers and the engine cowl bands are painted in various shades of grey. The red, white and blue RFC roundel appears on both the upper and lower wings and on the fuselage. The tailfin also features the vertical red, white and blue bands, along with the plane identity number D8096. The two machine guns - the forward-firing gun for use by the pilot and the second by the observer crew member - are both painted black and are positioned on black mountings in the open rear cockpit.

The model is presented card window box & can be displayed on the display stand provided.

The plane, (Oxford no. AD001) measures 4 1/2" (115mm) in length & has a wingspan of 6 1/2" (155mm), & is new, mint & boxed.
