Hose fittings are 10mm inner diameter.

Oil level indicator level on side.

Magnetic drain plug on bottom (removes any metallic particles)

Designed specially to collect all oil and sludge particles from the breather system and allow cleaner air to pass normally

Fits to the breather pipe usually running from the crank casing to the rocker / cam cover

How does oil sludge get into the engine?

• there is a vacuum hose connected between the intake manifold and engine value cover and/or crankcase where the PCV valve located. At idle, the intake manifold vacuum is near maximum. Because oil is under the engine valve cover and/or crankcase, excess oil will be drawn into the intake manifold during high vacuum. During the engine intake stage, the oil in the intake manifold will dragged into the combustion chamber. the oil will become compressed then ignited. The burned oil will become deposited over the combustion chamber including: piston, valve stem, valve seat.
• the function of oil catch tank is to trap the oil vapour from the valve cover and/or crankcase before it can enter the air intake system.

*** In some cased additional hose fittings may be needed to allow the connection of this 10mm hose***
