Whiting Farms Soft Hackle with Chickabou pelts provide two types of feathers on one pelt. The first being a wide webby soft hackle feather that can be used to create collars (hook size #10 and up), whole wings for warm and salt water flies. These are also used for matukas, sculpins, and for wing burning material. The second is Chick-a-bou, the marabou replacement feather at the south end of the pelt. Much finer and more delicate than turkey maribou, this feather is excellent tail material for buggers, damsel and dragon fly nymphs and leach patterns.
These are also excellent craft, millinery, and jewelry feathers.
