You are buying a brand new factory sealed French Revised 3rd Edition BLACK bordered Limited Edition Booster pack from the collectible card game from Wizards of the Coast Magic the Gathering. This expansion was first released in 1994 for the Richard Garfield collectible card game Magic the Gathering from Wizards of the Coast and is now out of print. The booster box from which the pack will be pulled is shown. You are buying a pack from this box, not the whole box which is shown for illustration only.

Note that WOTC introduced a hybrid wrapper that is opaque and designed so you cannot see thru the pack and was tamper proof due to the crimping technique applied to the pack. Where the pack folded over the crimps had to be stronger to get thru all of the layers of the wrapper so the outer wrapper shows white where the crimping machine had to hit it extra heavy thus making it impossible to open and re-seal the pack. You can see the heavy show thru crimping patter top, bottom and sometimes on the center edge down the back of the pack. The wrapper had a 2 colors, brown on the outside and white on the inside. In the US legends , Arabian , Antiquities wrappers, you could see thru the wrapper .

A bit of background: A Revised or 3rd edition booster pack contains 15 cards per pack. Distribution is 1 rare, 3 uncommon, and 11 commons. Released in April of 1994, in English, Revised or 3rd edition is a core set. The English set contains 306 white-bordered cards (121 rare, 95 uncommon, 75 common, and 15 lands) ; the foreign language limited editions had black borders . The French Black Bordered limited edition is distinguishable by the gold colored line "Edition Limitée" near the top of the pack below the Logo (Magic L'Assemblee). The white bordered unlimited French edition says " Triage non Limite" in the line below the Logo. The black border edition also has a brown foil top and bottom while the white bordered edition has silver foil on the top and bottom strips.

Revised was the first base edition of the game to be sold in multiple languages. Black bordered, limited editions were produced in French, German, and Italian. Unlimited, white bordered editions in the same languages were produced after the limited editions Black Bordered had sold out.

From Wizards of the Coast , Magic the Gathering the CCG game is known the world over, and these factory sealed packs each contain 15 cards per pack for a total of 15 MTG CCG cards in this package.
