A mold to make a display base for the skeleton ( Ok the instructions are kind of vague on this one, but I believe you are supposed to crush up the left over plaster from the "dig " , mix it with water and pour it into the mold to dry and harden.....not sure here)

I recommed, excivating the disosaur out of the rock either outside on a pic-nic or paito table or putting down several layers of news paper on a inside table to catch all the small pieces of plaster and protect your table top.

Remaining plaster can be washed off of dino skull once your child is done cleaning on it........don't get the idea that you can just chunk the plaster rock in your dish washer and a hour later come back to a dino skeleton.....that kind of defeats the purpose....and is hard on dishwashers.

As far as painting the model goes, I am leaving that call up to you and how well you trust your child with a paint set. In my opinion it looks just fine unpainted.

Recommended for children ages 6 and up

NOT for children under 3 years old as there are small parts that can be a choking hazard.

I would recommend at least being near by to help children with the excavation process and keep a eye on them.......rember, When the children are being quite.......thats when to be alarmed.
