This auction is for a PDF computer file which will you will get on a CD. The file allows you to print album pages in a standard computer printer which you can then punch and keep in the album of your choice.

No stamps are included - I have just used some stamps on a few printed examples of the pages to illustrate the type of stamps the pages are intended for.  I have only shown nine sample pages from the file, there are spaces for all the different plates.

The pages are for the specialised plating of the Great Britain line engraved stamp issues, and generally follows the Stanley Gibbons Specialised Catalogue.

It starts with the Penny Black in 1840 which was printed from plates 1 to 11, with two versions of plate 1, and there are spaces for each of these.  The colour was changed to red in 1841 and a few of the Penny Black plates were used for printings in red, and there are also spaces for these.

There are then pages for all the plates of the imperforate penny reds, moving through the change to alphabet II, and then to the perforated "penny stars", including spaces for variations in watermark, paper and perforation, and including the change to die II.  Trial perforations by Archer and others are included, as are reserve plates.  The two pence stamps are include from the 1840 imperforates in plates 1 and 2, through the "white lines added", to the perforated issues.

There are pages for the stamps with letters in four corners - the "penny red plates" stamps, the halfpenny, threehalfpence, and two pence stamps.

There is also a page for the "numbers in maltese cross" cancellations - see the scans below.

And finally there are also blank pages at the back for stamps on piece or pairs/multiples and you can see a sample of what can be done with this below.

Overall there are over forty pages and spaces for well over six hundred stamps.  To fill them all will take many years..!

You obviously have complete control over which pages you print, and if you don't want pages for the later penny plates stamps or the numbers in maltese cross stamps you don't have to print them.

I find using slightly thicker paper than normal listing paper is better, but you have full choice over the paper to use and the album/folder you keep the stamps in.  I bought a four hole punch and use four-ring A4 binders.

Ignore the condition of the stamps in the pictures - they are not the subject of the auction - it is the computer file with the underlying pages you are buying.  They are just some from my personal collection - the sharp eyed of you may notice they are all "MG" checkletters - I am always interested in buying any QV with MG checkletters.

PLEASE SEE MY OTHER AUCTIONS FOR OTHER SIMILAR PRINTABLE FILES - INCLUDING ONE FOR SHEET RECONSTRUCTIONS.

To avoid doubt bidders selecting "Buy it Now" will receive a CD with a computer file.  NO ACTUAL STAMPS OR ALBUM PAGES ARE INCLUDED.
