OM3 fibre optic cables are constructed with 50µm core and 125µm cladding.  The OM3 range offer a higher bandwidth and greater distance over OM2 cables. Fitted with LC to LC connectors, LC connectors have replaced SC connectors in corporate networking environments due to their smaller size; they are often found on small form-factor pluggable transceivers.
