Japanese Bankoyaki Clay Pot 2- Go Rice/Daikoku Cooking Rice pot

This rice pot is capable of making fluffy and delicious rice.

Size: approx. 8 x 6-3/4"

Not recommended for use in microwave. 100 % made in Japan.

Cook fluffy, glistening rice in this clay pot. In addition to cooking plain rice, this pot is great for making rice with various ingredients known in Japan as "Takikomi Gohan". Recipes for Takikomi Gohan usually begin with a light Dashi broth used as the cooking liquid in place of water and can include a smidgen of soy sauce and sake for additional flavoring.

This pot can also execute some of the more popular dishes such as Takikomi which includes Matsu Take Guan (mushroom rice), and Gomoku Gohan (rice with a combination of 5 ingredients).

The clay pot has an inner lid which creates extra pressure and releases steam to help prevent messy spill-over while the rice is cooking.
