WW2 Russian M35 Gimnasterka Tunic

Description

The Russian M35 Gimnasterka Tunic were modified slightly in 1941 under order 251, this was the deletion of sleeve rank insignia, coloured collar tabs and brass buttons. Initially when war broke out in Russia in 1941, many of the tunics in service were the 1929 model, due to the 1935 pattern being distributed slowly.

These fantastic reproductions are made by Schuster, one of the finest manufacturers of Russian Uniforms and Militaria anywhere. The tunics are made from a tightly woven khaki cotton, and are available in a range of sizes by chest size and length. The buttons on the chest of the tunic are covered by a strip of cloth, and there are two chest pockets either side, secured by a button and loop. The tunic was later economised for the M43 Tunic, the chest pockets and collars were removed to save on factory time and costs.
