Piedmont Airlines began operations in 1948 with DC-3’s in Winston- Salem, North Carolina. At the time Piedmont Airlines was acquired by USAir in April 1989, they operated a large fleet of Boeing 727 and 737 aircraft. The combined carrier became one of the east coast's largest airlines. USAir subsequently changed its name to US Airways. US Airways then merged with American Airlines in late 2013.

This solid detailed 1:200 scale airplane model was produced to specifications from the aircraft manufacturer and the airline company. It reflects, as accurately the paint scheme of the airline and has many details that are not usually found on other models in this scale. Size 6.625 inches long. 

This model is accurately and professionally detailed, no decals to fade, discolor or peel off.
