Pure Essentials is identical to the popular tv brand, except that European Bare does NOT contain Bismuth Oxide. Bismuth Oxide is a cheap filler. It is used to extend the volume of mineral makeup in order to make it more profitable for the manufacturer. Technically, Bismuth is a mineral so many companies add it and still claim that they do not use fillers. I believe that sidewalk chalk is technically a mineral too, but I don't want it added to my makeup. It is unnecessary and doesn't add anything but fluff. Unfortunately, a lot of women are allergic to Bismuth Oxide. Sometimes they don't realize that they are allergic to it -- they just notice that their faces feel itchy when they wear the well known brand of mineral makeup. Other women complain that they don't like the unnatural clown-like shine of the Bismuth Oxide. |
