Antique 18 Kt Gold Embroidery Scissors French * Circa 1810 The handles
of these little antique scissors have wonderfully
ornate shanks with fruit spilling out of ram's head cornucopias.
They are
solid 18 Kt gold (tested) and are stamped with the cock's head French
gold
hallmark used from 1809 to
1819.
They also have maker's marks (EC). The condition is excellent with no dents or other damage and they measure 3 3/4" long. The steel blades are tight with intact points and they cut beautifully to the tips. The steel is bright with the original polished surface. They weigh 11.1 grams.
