This Vintage 1938-1940 Conn Standard Steelay facing 5 tenor saxophone mouthpiece is in pristine, as new, does not appear to have ever been played condition! I did not polish this mouthpiece, and it has the original engraving, and a beautiful, smooth table, tip, rails and baffle. This is another of a number of mouthpieces in a large case, given to the wife of the seller when she was in an all girl band in the early 1940’s. The seller is 91 years old, the original owner and this mouthpiece has been stored in a beautiful case since that time! This is an awesome , collectible piece! I think this type of mouthpiece came with the Conn tenor saxophones of that period as normal equipment. The large bore will not be for all players, but it is still very cool!
