I would say faded, except the back of the frame where the tapestry folds over is the same color. The edges of the tapestry are all in fine shape. You may want to keep it framed, but it could come out of the frame easily which would add another 2" all around the size of the tapestry. The frame itself is old carved wood with a bronze finish. There are no issues with the frame. The backing paper is missing and the cardboard holding it in is old. I've owned it for a lot of years. I no longer have a place for it.
