Palace Of Dreams: An exciting journey through Sydney's magnificent State Theatre. The DVD "Palace of Dreams" explores Sydney's fabulous State Theatre - one of the few remaining true picture palaces in the world and one of the greatest and most beautiful examples of that special architectural art form.

This film echoes the sights and sounds of the past, as the cameras search out the treasures and wonders of the State Theatre in the '80s - fully restored to it's original splendour. There are glimpses backstage where most people have never seen, and an opportunity to savour the many spectacular sights that the theatre has to offer in one armchair sitting.

This featurette combines glorious period costumes with glamourous cinematography. Beautifully shot, it showcases this luxurious 2000 seat heritage-listed theatre which tastefully incorporates elements of Art deco, Italian and Gothic design.
