**** GUN METAL HARDWARE ****
**** GENUINE
WALNUT PEN BODY ****
This is a handmade Capped rollerball pen made by
Placid Crafts. This series is called "Over & Under" It is made to
celebrate the over and under gun that features both a rifle and shotgun barrel
on the same gun. The list of features on this pen is many. Let me list some of
them here. The cap looks like a 12 gauge shotgun shell, the pocket
clip looks like the over & under shotgun itself, the nib is a 30
caliber bullet and shell case. The opposite end looks like a magnum
rifle shell case with the magnum groove and primer. Then the cap post on either
end of the pen. These features are all standard with the Over and
Under Series. From that point on the features fall under control of the pen
maker. On this pen the hardware is Gun Metal. As for the pen body..... well
.... I think Walnut is the best choice, after all What are most gun stocks made
of? The next choice is the color of the shotgun shell cap and this one is
Yellow. As far as 12 gauge shells, they are mostly red if they are
Winchester Westerns... Green if they are Remington Arms, and Black for Federal
and some other brands. Then there are 20 gauge shells that are mostly yellow.....
AND, if you are an old timer like me whose first shotgun was a old J.
C. Higgins 16 gauge pump shotgun that gave me a face full of powder with
every shot because the chamber was so worn out, and those
16 gauge shells were Purple. I plan on making them in all of
these colors. The pen is 5-7/8" long capped, and 6-5/8" long
when the cap is posted and ready to write. / Pen #251
Refill Compatibility
There is a black ink rollerball cartridge in the
pen now. Note that when changing the refill that the
spring goes in before the ink. (Unlike a ball point which
requires the spring to be around the writing end.) Other standard
rollerball refills will fit this pen also like the Acme 888 Safety Ceramic
Rollerball, The Schmidt Safety Ceramic #888 Rollerball Ink cartridge, or the
Hauser bill 707sf rollerball.
