Superb, very fine and rare antique 1886 handcolored 2 side map, either side would frame and display uqite nicely, the first page is titled Tunison's Iowa , titled in fancy antique lettering, in artistic vignette, fine outside ornate border as well, below the title is a chart listing populations and so forth. On reverse is Tunisons Illinois, with State Capitol at Springfield art vignette as well. Fine outside ornate border. The map is printed on thick fine paper, and is in beautiful condition. Very fine gorgeous period handcoloring, this is period the map, this is before large scale color printing. This is from the very rare 1886 Tunsion's Peerless Atlas of the World. Tunison was a highly regarded mapmaker of this period. The size of the map is 12" by 14". Rare. Winning bidder pays $3.50 shipping domestic, more foreign.
