LARGE STYLISH STERLING SILVER GRAVY / SAUCE BOAT - SHEFFIELD 1904 - 5.73 TROY OZ
This is a great looking and good sized sterling (.925) silver sauce boat with a stylish handle and fluted body, as pictured. It is one of two nice silver sauce boats that I will be listing today. I will be happy to combine the shipping costs if you win them both.
It has been assayed during 1904 by Atkin Brothers of Truro Works, Matilda Street, Sheffield and it stands 3.5" tall approximately by 7" long and about 3.25" wide.
It weighs 5.73 troy ounces or 178.3 grams.
There are the typical light, faint scuffs and scratches that all silver objects tend to attract over the years as you might expect but there is nothing really nasty or serious to report and there are no particular dents, dings or serious misshapes anywhere worth highlighting as far as I can tell. It is sill in a nice condition for it's age as you can see.
No doubt a good polish will further restore former glory.
This is a very stylish old solid silver sauce boat in a good size and an eye-catching shape to grace your dinner table. It is being offered here in a used antique condition, exactly as pictured and with no reserve.
