DESCRIPTION: Original vintage photograph, January 1941, shows Martine Martin of Lewiston, Maine. Online records show that Martine lived at 45 Gill Street in Lewiston, and married William E. Begert in 1942. Identification of photos is taken from captions in a photo album, writing on the back, or from similar photos in the collection.

Richard Bowers Oliver was a news photographer, born in Dorchester, Massachusetts, May 19, 1913. He moved to Auburn Maine and resided at 25 Hampshire Street. He worked for the Lewiston Journal Newspaper but appears to have done a lot of freelance work as a news photographer.
