Timing Chain Kit Water Oil Pump Fit 97-04 Chevrolet GMC Cadillac 4.8 5.3 6.0. The timing chain is located in the front of the motor and is attached to a set of gears and pulleys that power multiple mechanical components, including the crankshaft and camshaft. In order for your engine to fire, the timing chain must smoothly rotate around the gears without hesitation. Although the timing chain is made out of metal, it is subject to wear and tear and may break if not replaced as recommended by the factory. Since the timing chain can go bad and will need to be replaced, it is important to be able to recognize the symptoms so you can have it repaired before it fails completely. Remark: GM discontinued LS1 camshaft gear #12552953 and replaced with LS2 camshaft gear #12576407. This kit is a "Gen IV, LS2 upgrade timing chain kit" for those of you with a Gen III LS block (Chevrolet 4.8L LS1, LS6/ 5.3L LR4, LM7, L59, LM4, L33 / 6.0L LQ4, LQ9 cam sensor in the back of the motor) but want to upgrade to LS2 timing chain kit. The original Gen III LS engines placed the cam sensor at the rear of the engine, while 2005 LS2 and later Gen IV engines moved the cam sensor to the front of the engine. This kit includes an LS2 cam gear (24x 3-bolt cam gear), crank gear and LS2 heavy duty timing chain (note the difference between the Gen III and Gen IV timing chains show in the listing images). An LS2 timing cover with integrated cam sensor (OE# 12633906) is also needed when upgrading to LS2 timing chain kit.

Please contact us for a Return Authorization Number (RMA) and return shipping address. Do not return items without and RMA number or the package will be refused and returned to you at your expense.

Return item must be well packed in original manufacturer�s packing and contain everything that was originally provided such as packing materials, hardware, manuals, protective wrap/caps, instruction, etc.

Be sure to write down the package tracking number. If your return is lost or damaged during shipping, we cannot refund you because the item cannot be resold or returned to our supplier. You will have to submit a claim directly to your shipping company requesting compensation.

Refunds are issued approximately 1-2 days after we receive your return. Please allow 1-2 days inspection and processing time before inquiring about the status of your refund.

Piston rings, main bearings, rod bearings cannot be returned if the manufacturer�s seal, or plastic shrink wrapped has been opened. There is no-exceptions policy ensures the quality of the components you receive.

The warranty is not transferable, is valid to original purchaser, and limited to the replacement of defective product only.

This Limited Warranty does not cover labor, damaged from accidents, alterations, misuse or modifications not intended by the manufacture, and other expenses such as towing loading fluids, oils or car rentals.

All warranty clams must be pre-authorized and returned prepaid to Mizumo Auto for inspection and approval.

No exchanges will be made for any product that has been damaged, misused or improper installed. We always recommend professional installation of our products.
