This is believed to be the very first Sindy doll which was Made in England from 1963 up until 1965 by Pedigree, as her markings suggest. Please look at the photos carefully and feel free to ask any questions! Sindy is in good condition considering her age and includes a 1963 Sleepy-Time Outfit, which is also in good condition considering its age and comes nearly complete, as seen in the photos. This consists of a glamorous baby doll sleeveless nightie in pink and white checked cotton trimmed with white nylon lace around the neck and armholes, accompanied by matching knickers with the same lace trim around each leg. The nightie fastens at the back with a single white painted metal popper, which is still present. Also included is a pastel blue drawstring sponge bag containing a white flannel, 3 blue curling pins, brush, comb and mirror (missing reflective piece). Please note the blue curling pins have all snapped due to age. The Penguin 'paperback' (a piece of printed card) called “Sindy by Pedigree”, toothpaste and soap are missing, but this doesn't detract in any way. We've also added a little pink telephone which we don't think is from the Sindy range, but goes well with the Outfit. The original white daisy sandals are also included and these, along with the brush, comb and mirror all have some marks/wear.

This pretty doll has the markings "MADE IN ENGLAND" on the back of her neck, below the hairline. There are no other markings on her body. She has a soft vinyl head with rooted hair, soft vinyl arms that you are able to bend, but they will not hold a pose, and hard hollow legs and torso. Sindy's hands and feet are in good shape considering their age with no chews/nibbles. She is 29cms tall. Please note that Sindy has a slightly wobbly head, one loose/swingy leg (but holds a pose), slight paint loss to her lips, some missing/thinning hair plugs and surface scratches/scuffs/marks, but this is a common fault with vintage Sindy and doesn't detract from this nice vintage doll in any way. This is the rarer version with the Auburn (Chestnut) Bubble-shaped hair with a fringe and is matted and dry, but not bad for over 60 years-of-age!

She has a soft vinyl head with a sweet face and rooted hair, which has some missing/thinning hair plugs at the front/back. The markings "MADE IN ENGLAND" are on the back of her head. Her make-up is still soft, with red lips which have some paint loss.

First Sindy is a lovely doll and very rare to find with Sleppy-Time, which is also rare to find nearly complete. She displays nicely and is a must for any Sindy Collector.
