Amazing Optical Laminar Water Jet

Cool laminar effect with a light thru the water stream

I use one in my pool and its awesome at night

2 light choices:

blue only

or color changing

Make sure to watch the videos on the bottom of this page!

Light stays inside the water stream!!.. looks like its in a tube but its not! You can run your hand through the stream and "light" up your hand as the water hits it!! Looks great in a pool or pond! Lights up the pool water where it hits (not sure about ponds as pool water is very clear)

Please read the entire description and look at the videos and pictures

ALL SALES FINAL! NO RETURNS

What you will get:
A complete water jet system
with a new pump**
33' feet of cable with a plug in transformer (for the light)
and a choice of light color (all blue or color changing).

**If you want to use your own pump, please indicate that with your "best offer". You can use a ball valve to control the flow rate to the water jet because if you exceed the 8 to 9 foot max stream the light will start to fade. The pump I include has a flow rate of about 1056 GPH** Buying a pump locally may save you money since I dont have the extra shipping weight of a pump on top of this water jets weight and I can use a smaller box...But I will sell you the pump and jet together but no best offers will be accepted

What you will need to buy:
A clear or braided 1" (1  inch) plastic tubing to run from the pump to the water jet. Available in Home Depot or Lowes and sold by the foot.  This is much cheaper then me sending you 10 feet of tubing and charging extra for it and for the extra shipping weight. The water jet will shoot about 8 feet before it starts to lose the light, any longer stream and the light will not travel the entire distance. So figure 6 to 10 feet of tubing depending on where your body of water is and where you set the angle/arc of the jet. Of course you can go longer with the tubing, but keep in mind the further you go the more pump power you will need to get the water flow right. For example if you pump from 50 feet away to the this device you will need a higher flow rate.

If you want to make an offer and use your own pump then please indicate that

What you need to have:

A body of water!

A pool or a pond where you can pump the water from and shoot it back into with this jet!

How does it work?

Connecting one end of a hose to the water jet intake, another end to a water pump, water from pump goes through the jet and shoot back to the pool or pond. You can adjust the angle of this water jet to achieve a higher or lower jet stream.

Amazing total internal reflection of light in a circle water jet. A jet of water "traps" light, just like an optical fiber.
Connecting to a pump (included), this optical water jet can shoot up to 8' across and is still keeping in shape and clear like a glass tube. Light travels from the jet LED source all way to the touching down splashing spot without loosing much light.

The water jet comes with a  5W LED light which runs on AC 12V (low voltage). The jet itself needs no electric power (other then the pump to bring the water to it) to shoot and can be run in the daytime to shoot a clear stream. The cord for the LED light will be about 33 feet long so you have plenty of options on where to plug it in when you want to run it at night

Quality: The housing is made of a low rated stainless steel. The top has screws that can be used to open the unit to wash and rinse out the insides if necessary and to change the LED light in the future.

Pool Owners Note:

you will need place the pump inside body of water, if its in a pool, you can hang the pump from the ledge, but please do not swim while a pump is pumping from inside your pool, its not worth the small chance of a malfunction and electricity flowing directly in a pool while you or your loved ones are swimming!
You can also place the pump inside a plastic bucket and let the bucket  sit on the bottom of your pool - if you have a vinyl liner this is the best bet so that the pump does not "pull" on your liner

If you are handy then you can hook this up to your existing pool pump system, but this will require extra effort on your part. That is what I did with my pool, using diverter valves and tee's (all from Home Depot) I now use my 1 HP pool pump to operate the water jet. Using ball valves I can adjust the flow rate from my pool pump to the water jet while also filtering the pool. When I do not want to use the jet I redirect the pump flow to filter the pool. If you think it through it is really quite easy to achieve. Plus you save $$$ by not buying another pump and since you are already operating a pump for your pool its not costing you extra electricity charges since you have to run your pool pump anyway.

You can hide this behind a shrub or under a deck, the possibilities are endless. I have my own water jet behind my pool so all you see is a stream of color changing water, you don't see the unit at all!

Color Changing Water Jet Videos:
Amazing how the "light" continues into my pool water!!

Blue Only Water Jet (video on left is with a separate pool light I have on, this will not light up the entire pool):

This braided tubing works great, flexible yet strong enough and fits the 1" connection on the pump and the jet, I bought the tube in Home Depot by the foot:
