I go to brazil twice a year and always come back with fantastic material. Most of them are high quality quartz with mineral inclusions for jewelry casting or wire wrapping.

This one in particular is called dendritic quartz. Dendrite (greek for "Tree like") inclusions look like plants but are manganese oxide inclusions that crystallized inside quartz. The rusty background is due to natural iron oxides.

It looks like a painting, all nature made and it makes an outstanding ring or a wonderful addition to any collection!!
