1950's Marklin Train Set In Original Box Made In Germany Very Rare

Just in time for Christmas gift giving for that special someone is a rare fully operational vintage train set - and a collector's item!  

Included are the following MARKLIN Train Pieces:

Original Box - definitely showing its 1950's age with wear and tape.  The side of the box has "MARKLIN 3105 MADE IN GERMANY" sticker on it.

Locomotive Engine #23014 - This engine weighs 1 lb 3 oz on its own!  I believe this engine has ability to have steam and lights on it, I do not know how to make that work, but recall my husband made it work prior to his passing in 2009.  We used to set it up at Christmas to runaround a small Christmas Tree.

This isn't chincy plastic like toys of today - most of the pieces are made of heavy metal / steel.

All train pieces marked on bottom with one of these marks (as pictured also): Made in Germany / Made in Western Germany / Marklin

All are in good used condition

Purchased at an estate sale while living in Tennessee in the mid 80's.  I set this train set up and ran it for a long period of time this evening (12-10-2018), took some video and then took it apart to take pictures and list here on eBay.  It is in good working condition, needs a little TLC cleaning - close up pics show dust from sitting in the box for so many years. I have not set this up since before my husband's passing in 2009, it has been sitting in a drawer in my guest bedroom since before that time.
