This is for a Antique Book published as part of a fundraising campaign for The German Hospital in New York City (now Lenox Hill Hospital).
The book is partly in German and partly in English. It mainly consists of facsimile reproductions of works of art and letters by famous donors/supporters.
The title of the book is: Beitrage von Literaten und Kunstlern zum Deutschen Hospital Bazaar. Contributions of Writers and Artists to the German Hospital Fair. 
The Opening speech (in German) is by Carl Schurz.

Illustrated Hardcover book, published by Theo. Kilian, dated 1889 on copyright page. Approximately 10-1/8 in. by 8 in.; over 100 pages. Book has some wear, some stains, binding is beginning to come apart in front no loose pages yet.
