Hello,

My name is Tina May and I'm a reborn doll artist of 10+ years.

 I'm delighted to present up for adoption a miniature 5" baby. 

This is one of the little berenguer babies that model most of my handcrafted doll layettes. 

As an artist I simply cannot sell these babies unless I bring them to life. They have the chubbiest little bodies and the most adorable expressions.  It's always a joy to work with berenguer dolls.

I'm extremely pleased with how this sweet little baby has blossomed into a character of it's own.

Baby is truly OOAK (one of a kind) because no two are ever alike after the reborn process. This tiny preemie is a handmade work of art and not intended for small children.

Like a real newborn this baby needs tender love and with gentle care should last for generations to come.

Photo's

I take all my own photo's both indoors and out over a period of several days in various natural lighting (no flash). Keep in mind that computer monitors and cell phone screens vary in color density. Thus, some photo's may be lighter or darker than others. 

Reborn Process, 

Body ~ First all factory paint was removed and baby had a nice warm bath. Then, as a blank canvas, I slowly painted a newborn 3-d skin tone in many layers of genesis heat set paints, curing between each layer. I strive to make my babies as realistic as possible. 

Weighted ~ Baby's torso and head are weighted with a mix of steel and/or glass beads.  

Eye corners, nostrils, mouth & ears ~ Are lightly glossed for a realistic look of moisture. 

Magnet ~ For baby to accept a magnetic pacifier, I placed a magnet inside it's head behind the mouth. *Use caution around people with pacemakers and electronics. 

Hair ~ I micro rooted (1-2 hairs per time) of quality mohair around the crown of baby's head and sealed inside.  I recommend using a mist of water or leave on conditioner for styling to help prevent hair breakage/loss.  It works beautifully :)

Fine Details ~ Brows are finely painted to compliment the hair. Baby has a tiny milk bump painted on the upper lip. Nails tips were given a baby manicure and pedicure. Lifelike veining in all the right places and shading on the eyes, ears, nostrils, and body creases for realism. 

Finally after many hours, baby blossomed into a lovely little character of it's own.
