This is a portrait of one of the little frogs from our yard. In this painting he is seen pushing the plant out of the way and staring back at the viewer. His fat round body an indicator of his health and contentment. This image is part of a series of frogs , common to my back yard. Frogs are symbols of peaceful, harmonious coexistence & interdependence with nature. In the mythology of many cultures frogs are linked to the cleansing, healing and creative powers, often symbolising the awakening of ones creativity and recognising one's own power of adaptation.

ARTIST QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
Di holds an Art Certificate (College of TAFE 2 years full time) & a Bachelors Degree in Visual Arts (University 3 years full time) and has been a practicing artist for over 25 years. She has won numerous international art contests. Her former employment includes Artist-In-Residence and Private Art Tutor for a community center and an Art Teacher for a children's resource unit. Currently self employed creating resources for digital artists and original contemporary fine art prints.
