ARTIST'S STATEMENT
This is a portrait of one of the little frogs from our yard. In this painting he is seen pushing the plant out of the way and staring back at the viewer. His fat round body an indicator of his health and contentment. This image is part of a series of frogs , common to my back yard. Frogs are symbols of peaceful, harmonious coexistence & interdependence with nature. In the mythology of many cultures frogs are linked to the cleansing, healing and creative powers, often symbolising the awakening of ones creativity and recognising one's own power of adaptation.
Folk wisdom tells that dreaming of a frog meansORIGINAL ARTIST PRINTS
These
prints are the artwork's original physical form, NOT reproductions.
This art work was created digitally, through painting by hand with an
electronic pen on a digital drawing tablet, directly onto a computer.
The process of creating an art image digitally restricts the physical
presentation of the artwork to printed form. So like wood blocks,
etchings, screen printing and photography, it is not possible to have
any other physical representation. Each print comes with a signed
certificate of Authenticity directly from the artist along with a
written artist statement about the image that you are purchasing, a
brief bio and an information sheet about how to care for artwork on
paper.
