This is a RARE 1967 vintage copy of Justice League of America #53 which features the team's early exploits against Treasure Thief. Written by Gardner Fox with art by Mike Sekowsky. It's first print and the overall condition is rated Very Good/Fine. The cover is sharp with off-white pages. It has minimal creases and tears occurring along the cover edges. Staples are intact and fairly firm.
synopsis:
Being shown that somehow one of the coins in their museum had been
replaced with a counterfeit, Hawkman goes to meet with his fellow JLA members.
There, they learn that his fellow members that rely on super-weapons
(Green Arrow, Batman and Wonder Woman) have had troubles rounding up
crooks because their weapons had been replaced with fakes, they realize
the two cases must be related. Finding a source of radiation to follow, the JLA track it down to
the lair of the Treasure Thief, a criminal that uses a teleportation
device in order to switch real items with counterfeits.
