My in-laws own one of those neat old hardware stores and these were recently discovered in their upstairs storage area.

These measure 4 1/2 x 2 3/4 inches. The single hole opening is 1 3/8 inches in diameter. 

You will most likely receive a plate in the package but I had to open one for picture purposes.
