THE NAME WADES CAUSEWAY ARISES FROM A LOCAL LEGEND WHICH STATES THAT THE CLEVELAND GIANT WADE BUILT IT AS A TRACK ALONG WHICH HIS WIFE BEL COULD DRIVE HER CATTLE OUT TO PASTURE. TO THE LEFT IN THE DISTANCE IS THE CURVE OF WHEELDALE ROAD.
