Heavyweight Polar Fleece Balaclava

This high quality Heavyweight Balaclava (aka - Neck Gaiter, Neck Warmer, Hood) is made of an extremely warm, yet light weight Polar Fleece fabric and is a "once size fits most". It is made of a double layer of 250 gsm (grams per square meter) Polar Fleece. This same item is used as cold weather gear by the US Armed Forces, Law Enforcement and Homeland Security. It's one of those "must have" items for outdoor cold weather enthusiasts, Skiers, Snowboarders and anyone exposed to cold weather conditions.
This is an Extreme Cold Weather item that has an adjustable drawstring hood with cord lock. The drawstring feature allows the wearer to reduce the size of the opening, thereby exposing less of your face to the elements. It is extra long to give coverage to the entire neck and collarbone area. This can be worn as a combination Hood and Neck Warmer (as shown), with the Hood down as a Neck Gaiter, or as a half face mask.
Field Test: We normally don't Field Test all of our merchandise due to having almost 1,000 items listed, but we decided to test this item. We tested this in the Pocono Mts of Northeastern PA on a day with the actual temp at 12 deg, wind chill of approx. -5 deg, the wind blowing steady at about 25mph with gusts to over 35mph and snow squalls coming through. This Balaclava performed exceptionally well! We couldn't believe how well it kept our head, neck and face warm, and really broke the wind. It gives great coverage to the neck, ears, cheeks and forehead (when worn as a hood). It is very versatile and we used it as just a neck warmer, then as a half face mask (covering the neck and face up to our noses), and then all the way up as a hood. This item kept us toasty warm and has the toggles to cinch it down just in case you don't have a large noggin like some of us. We highly recommend this Balaclava.
