Old
guitar of ancient style, probably early 900 missing the name of the luthier who
built it. Inside is the oval-shaped label of the seller bearing the
words ”Istrumenti Musicali
Pianoforti-Musica Ditta Cesare Sarti Via Farini 7- Tel 42-44 BOLOGNA-Grammofoni
e Dischi Accessori e corde per ogni istrumento”
·
The
hole has fillets of various colors I can not understand if only drawn or are
instead inlaid. The edges of the table are inlaid with threads of different
colors for the entire perimeter of the table, slightly detached in the lower
right part of the band -. The diameter of the circular hole is 78.5 mm. The
table is quite intact, it has a single crack about 15 cm long in the lower left
barte of the table., Which is perhaps not even a complete crack
·
The
thickness of the wood of the table near the hole is 4.9 mm
·
The
bridge is in wood with inserts I think of in ivory
·
The
anchoring of the strings is given by a brass tailpiece fixed on the lateral
band. The bottom is intact and does not show any cracks and is firmly glued to
the band.
·
The
handle and the headstock are made from a single piece of wood. The keyboard of
about 5 (five) mm thick glued to the handle is in dark wood. The first and
second keys that have worked the most are slightly broken, the other keys are
perfectly level. The tuners are made of brass, the keys are white for tuning,
they are of the same material as the nut, they seem to be made of plastic but
I'm not sure, it's a very hard material, maybe it's ivory ? The handle looks
perfectly straight
·
The
guitar is equipped with metal strings, has been tuned and played a little and
the tuning seems to hold up well, the strings do not crawl on the metal bars of
the keyboard, and are easily lowered without effort. I think it's a guitar that
can play as it is
·
The
base of the handle is in two parts glued together
·

Antica chitarra di foggia antica MANCANTE CARTIGLIO LIUTAIO
·
Musicali Pianoforti-Musica Ditta Cesare Sarti Via Farini 7- Tel 42-44
BOLOGNA-Grammofoni e Dischi Accessori e corde per ogni istrumento”
·
perfettamente in piano.
abbassano facilmente senza sforzo.
incollate
