This is a Reprint copy of a rare and unique "What Had We Benefited from the Berlin Assembly?" book by Minas Cheraz, originally published in 1878, in Turkey.

In this book author (who as a translator went to Berlin Conference with Mkrtich Khrimian) presented possible benefits what Armenians could get from Berlin Conference, which was held in Berlin, in 1878.

Հայութեան հարցերն ու շահերը պաշտպանելու, ինչպէս որ կա՝ իրապէս ներկայացնելու նպատակով 1878 թվականին Մինաս Չերազը որպէս թարգմանիչ Մկրտիչ Խրիմյանի հետ մեկնել է Բեռլինի վեհաժողով: Այդ թեմայով է գրել «Թէ ինչ շահեցանք Պերլինի վեհաժողովէն» աշխատությունը, որը թարգմանվել և հրատարակվել է ֆրանսերէն լեզվով, նաև այն լույս է ընծայել անգլիական կառավարությունը՝ «Կապույտ գրքում» (1916թ.)։

Իր ժամանակի ուսյալ այրերից և պատասխանատվութեան զգացումով, համարձակ, մարդասէր, իր գործի և բարի գործերի նվիրեալ անձնավորություն էր մանկավարժ, բանաստեղծ, արձակագիր, թարգմանիչ, հասարակական գործիչ Մինաս Չերազը [Կ.Պոլիս, 1852–1929, Մարսել]։ Ծնվել է հուլիսի 25-ին, Կոստանդնուպոլսում*, որտեղ Չերազների տոհմը հաստատվել էր XVIII դարի երկրորդ կեսին, [ուր Մինասի նախնիները եկել էին Արևմտյան Հայաստանի Երզնկայի նահանգի Ակն գավառում գտնվող Չերազ փոքրիկ գյուղից, որտեղ հայերը զբաղվում էին անասնապահութեամբ, հողագործութեամբ]։

Մինաս Չերազը գրել է նաև «Գրական փորձեր», «Ազգային դաստիարակություն», «Հայաստան և Իտալիա», «Գրիչ և սուր», «Արևելեան վիպակներ» ժողովածուները։
Ֆրանսերէն է թարգմանել և հրատարակել Պետրոս Դուրյանի, Ռափայել Պատկանեանի, Խորեն Գալֆայեանի ընտիր երկերից՝ «Հայ բանաստեղծներ» խորագրով։

Մինաս Չերազը ֆրանսերէն լեզվով տպագրել է ժողովածու, որտեղ ընդգրկել է Կ.Պոլսի շրջակայքում բնակվող տարբեր ժողովուրդների պատումներ, առածներ, բարքեր, ավանդույթներ, սովորույթներ և այլն, որոնք ինքն է հավաքագրել:
Մինաս Չերազը անդամակցել է Ֆրանսիայի Ասիական թագավորութեան, Արևելքի բանահյուսութեան, Լորիանի, Անտվերպենի աշխարհագրական ընկերություններին։

Congress of Berlin, 1878 The International Congress, held on June 1 (June 13) to July 1, was convened in Berlin as a result of the efforts of Great Britain and Austria-Hungary to review the San Stefano Treaty. The participating states were Russia, the Ottoman Empire, England, Austria-Hungary, France, Italy and Germany. The Congress ended with the adoption of a document that entered history in the name of the Berlin treaty. One of the results of the Congress was that the issue of Western Armenia was included in international diplomacy as the "Armenian Question".

Բեռլինի կոնգրես, 1878 թ. հունիսի 1-ից (հունիսի 13) առ հուլիսի 1-ը կայացած միջազգային կոնգրես, որը Մեծ Բրիտանիայի և Ավստրո-Հունգարիայի ջանքերի արդյունքում հրավիրվել էր Սան-Ստեֆանոյի պայմանագրի վերանայման նպատակով Բեռլինում։ Մասնակից պետություններն էին՝ Ռուսաստանը, Օսմանյան կայսրությունը, Անգլիան, Ավստրո-Հունգարիան, Ֆրանսիան, Իտալիան և Գերմանիան։ Կոնգրեսն ավարտվել է փաստաթղթի ընդունմամբ, որը պատմության մեջ մտել է Բեռլինի դաշնադրություն (տրակտատ) անունով։ Կոնգրեսի արդյունքներից մեկն այն էր, որ Արևմտյան Հայաստանի հարցը միջազգային դիվանագիտության մեջ մտավ որպես «Հայկական հարց»։
