2004 Roger Bannister's Four Minute Mile 50th Anniversary 50p Coin in Display Case

This display set contains a commemorative 50p coin that was struck to celebrate the 50th anniversary, 1954 to 2004, of Roger Bannister running a mile in less than four minutes. He finished the race in three minutes 59.4 seconds. The obverse shows the mature portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, KM reference number 1047 and is 27.3mm in diameter.

The coin is housed within a display that is held in a protection case, sized just over 17cm x 12cm. The display and case are in New/Mint condition and the coin is in UNC (Uncirculated) condition.

Our manufacturing process includes a precision laser cutting method to create the necessary holes in each display for the required coins to be inserted and held, safely recessed, in the correct position.

This would make a wonderful and original gift for an athletics enthusiast.

The product can be removed from the protection case, to allow frame mounted display, if so desired.
