Want to make sure you have the Surface Pro 6?
Open your kickstand in the back. There should be a model number that says 1796.
Also if you open the back kickstand, the hinge on the kickstand side will be
gray and the hinge on the device side will also be gray. If one side is gray
and one side is black, it is the Surface Pro 4.

Troubleshooting your Surface Pro 6?
· If you can't see the display at all after a drop due to a damaged LCD, try the following:
o Connect your Surface Pro 6 to a monitor or TV using the DisplayPort. You may need a DisplayPort adapter if your external monitor doesn't have a DisplayPort input.
o Press the "Windows Key" + the letter "P" simultaneously.
o Then press the down arrow three times.
o This will change the display to show on the external monitor. You can use your Surface Pro 6 this way
o This is also a good time to backup any important files you may have on the device.
